I've never written a blog because, for the life of me, I can't imagine there are people out there that interested in what a random person like me has to say.
My friends and family feign interest, but I know that secretly they are thinking of what laundry they need to do and wishing I would get to the point already. Rather than torture them anymore, I am releasing my random mind on the net. I seem to think better on "paper" anyway, so maybe this will be fun.
So anyways, as the title of the blog says, I'm a lawyer/dj/poker player, living a bit of a triple life[ED: the original title of this blog was 'Random Thoughts of a Lawyer/DJ/Poker Player]. To be specific, I am a business lawyer in Long Beach, California. I am also a dj as well as producer of drum and bass under the production name "Fixation." Finally, like many people have in the past few years, I have become obsessed with poker, mainly of the online no limit texas holdem variety (tho I am flirting with PLO), and am constantly thinking about it.
Before poker I'd say I was a "lawyer by day, dj by night." Now I guess I could add "poker player by weekend," except that I play as much during the week as on the weekend. Also it kinda spoils the superhero parallel I was going for in the first place.
Oh yea, I am also happily engaged to my girlfriend, Janessa, who I live with in Long Beach along with our three cats. Thanks to her I am a regular cheeseball for the first time ever and regularly catch myself humming bad love songs from the 70s with an intensity and sincerity that I am not sure I like.
